Overland Park Room Addition Remodel

This Overland Park remodel was much bigger than a kitchen update. The home started with a small, outdated kitchen that no longer matched how the family wanted to live. It includes significantly more cabinetry, a large island, wine storage, a wine fridge, all new appliances, a generous sink wall, glass display cabinetry, under-cabinet lighting, and long stone counters. Instead of squeezing function into the old kitchen footprint, the remodel gave the kitchen the room it needed to serve as a cooking space, gathering space, serving zone, and everyday family hub.

The living room was part of the same larger move. The addition didn't just expand the kitchen and stop there. It gave the homeowners a huge open living area with a refreshed fireplace, wide windows, vaulted volume, exposed beams, and a direct visual connection to the kitchen. That matters because a major addition should feel like it changes the whole way the home works. Here, the kitchen, island, living room, fireplace, and circulation all work together instead of acting like separate updates.
